On 1 September, OneCo Samferdsel AS took over responsibility for the operation and maintenance of electrotechnical installations on national and county roads in Asker, B\u00e6rum and Oslo. OneCo Samferdsel AS is a contractual partner with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration as a customer, while OneCo Veidrift AS carries out work related to ensuring that safety is safeguarded with work warnings and barriers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 1 September, OneCo Samferdsel AS took over responsibility for the operation and maintenance of electrotechnical systems on national and county roads in Asker, B\u00e6rum and Oslo.<\/p>\n

OneCo Samferdsel AS is a contractual partner with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration as a customer, while OneCo Veidrift AS carries out work related to ensuring that safety is safeguarded with work warnings and barriers. The assignment includes operation and maintenance tasks in tunnels with associated day zones. A total of 33 tunnels are included in the contract. The contract has been signed with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.<\/p>\n

\"Risk assessment and safety aspects come first in everything we do. We work alongside and on some of Norway's most heavily trafficked roads - we have to have a strong focus on safety,\" says project manager Michael Andresen.<\/p>\n

To ensure that motorists and other road users are affected as little as possible by maintenance and upgrades to technical infrastructure, much of the work in the contract is carried out in the evenings.<\/p>\n

\"It's great that a lot of the work is done at night - it makes a lot of the work very efficient. You could say there is limited queuing,\" Andresen continues.<\/p>\n

The contract with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration runs for five years.<\/p>\n

\"Even though we've only just started the contract - we're really on a roll. Our focus is that the customer and users experience our work as good and efficient, while we have the right focus on safety. We are a good team on the contract - so everything is in place for five safe, busy and exciting years,\" Andresen concludes with a smile.<\/p>\n
